Oral referral Issue

0
Dear support,

If a referral is made orally and does not come through the affliate link how can we link it to an affiliate?

For example a teacher in our school refers a student from another school. The student will not have to search online to find the teacher's affiliate link but he will register to us only through the verbal referral. The teacher will inform us through an email that the student is going to register. We face such situations in the everyday life.

How can we manually assign such a registration (that will not count as a conversion in the Affiliate Tracker extension) to the teacher's affiliate account, in order to show up in the teacher's "conversions" area in the front end dashboard affiliate account.

    Hello Phivos,

    You can link it if you go to "LOGS", and create a new log. There, you can define the relation betwen the user and the affiliate.
    That's how you link an oral referral.

    Dear support,

    Thanks for the prompt response.

    We created the new log and the referral is shown in the "affiliate area". But the conversion and the commission was not appearing under the "conversions" tab. Therefore, we proceeded and created a new conversion manually linked to that affiliate user.

    In this way the commission appeared in the "conversions" area. But, once navigated back and forth we received this error:

    "1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND at.component = "" AND acc.user_id = 850 AND acc.publish = 1 AND at.app' at line 1 SQL=SELECT COUNT(at.id) as conversions FROM #__affiliate_tracker_conversions as at LEFT JOIN #__affiliate_tracker_accounts as acc ON acc.id = at.atid WHERE at.atid = 2 AND at.type = AND at.component = "" AND acc.user_id = 850 AND acc.publish = 1 AND at.approved = 1 AND at.date_created >= SUBDATE(CURDATE(), 30 )"

    Please help.

    Dear Germinal,

    We get this once we login with the test user and select the "conversions" tab.

    Dear Germinal,

    In addition to the above, we managed to recreate the error.

    We create a new conversion manually. If we go to that user's "conversions" tab in order to check that the conversion appears correctly, then everything appears correct. The SQL syntax error kicks in once we filter the results in the "conversions" tab per the referred user or if we click on the red arrow (i.e. jump to the specific referred user) that is next to the referred user, always in the "conversions" tab.
